Relax and enjoy the 3-night Cairns – Pelorus Island – Cairns Coral Princess cruise which offers the perfect combination of experiences to make your holiday on the Great Barrier Reef truly memorable. The itinerary has been designed to provide ample time to explore the Reef through snorkelling, SCUBA diving and glass bottom boat tours, whilst also allowing plenty of time to discover exclusive private islands, tropical resort paradises and ancient rainforest trails.
From Cairns, your first stop is our exclusive mooring at Thetford Reef, our first opportunity to experience the Reef through snorkelling, SCUBA diving and glass bottom boat tours with the Marine Biologist. For first time snorkellers our experienced staff will be on hand to offer guided snorkelling tours over the colourful coral gardens. Then, a short cruise takes us to sandy Sudbury Cay where there is time to explore.
You will awaken the following morning in time to enjoy a real highlight, the opportunity to cruise the 22-kilometre length of the Hinchinbrook Channel. Separating the Australian mainland from Hinchinbrook Island, the waterway is only accessible by small ship and is home to myriad wildlife feeding on the channel’s rich seagrasses. Keep your eyes open for dolphins, the rarely-seen dugong (manatee), crocodiles and other marine life as we cruise amongst the mangroves and cliffs of the channel. After emerging from the channel, enjoy another highlight, the chance to explore Coral Princess Cruises’s private tropical island, Pelorus. Travel ashore and enjoy a gourmet Aussie Beach BBQ lunch, then join the expert naturalists on a nature walk across the island. The afternoon is yours to savour the rare opportunity of experiencing your very own private tropical island. Relax on the wide, sandy beach, sit back under the canopy of a shady tree with a good book or snorkel over the island’s fringing reef, in the shallow waters just metres from the beach. Optional SCUBA diving will also be available, along with glass bottom boat tours in the company of your Marine Biologist.

Relax and delight in the 4-night Cairns – Lizard Island – Cairns Coral Princess cruise which is the perfect option for those guests wanting to spend the maximum amount of time exploring the colourful coral gardens of the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy a full day to discover two different sections of the rarely visited Ribbon Reefs, considered to be the most colourful and pristine reefs found anywhere along the entire length of the Great Barrier Reef, as well as the wonderful fringing reefs off Lizard Island and Two Isles. You will also have the opportunity to explore historic Cooktown and savour a full morning discovering spectacular Lizard Island.
Following your departure from Cairns we will set sail along the coast, past the pretty holiday village of Palm Cove, as the sun sets over the Macalister Range. In the morning you have time to explore historic Cooktown. A walk leads to the beautiful Botanic Gardens, where it is possible to see native wildlife including kangaroos and wallabies in their natural habitat. There is also time to discover the fascinating James Cook Museum, home of many artefacts from Cook’s ship the Endeavour. Later, snorkel over colourful coral gardens in the fringing reefs surrounding Two Isles.
Next morning, awaken to sea breezes anchored off Lizard Island. The energetic may join a hike to ‘Cook’s Look’ on the summit of the island, the reward being spectacular views over the Great Barrier Reef. Then, spend the remainder of the morning exploring Lizard Island and its fringing reefs before a short cruise to the Ribbon Reefs where you will spend the rest of the day snorkelling, SCUBA diving and enjoying glass bottom boat tours with the Marine Biologist.
